in 2013 secret theatre commissioned me to make a pair of maps for their new project which involved an audience member wandering their city alone, but together with another audience member in another city doing the same thing at the same time, connected by phone. Since then, they have brought the project to Iceland, Scotland, Wales, and all across Canada. The map style evolved over the years in response to the needs of the project.
