“Erin is, somehow, as a single mom, facing incredibly daunting circumstances, trying to nurture and inspire her 3 year old daughter while protecting her from COVID. Since day care resumed this month, she’s already had a close contact scare. It’s an incredibly uncertain time, and anxiety is through the roof. Somehow despite that, Erin is an incredible mom, while kicking ass at her job helping students from all over the work learn about the Co-operative economy. Erin inspires and uplifts everyone she meets, and works hard to create a better world. She serves on two volunteer boards, amongst everything else. And, most incredibly, this past May, she was sick for a week with COVID, with a 3 year old who was also sick with COVID, and took care of them both through that time. I honestly don’t know how. I couldn’t have done it. But she took care of Edie, while being sicker than she’d ever been, and if that’s not being a hero, I don’t know what is.”
