“I’d like to nominate a dear friend of mine who is a frontline worker, Ashwini Anand. She is a nurse practitioner in Toronto, has been working so hard to keep the community safe, administering vaccines as well as taking care of her patients. The emotional toll of being a frontline worker is incredibly tough, but she is such a strong and beautiful person with endless empathy and still found time to be an amazing friend and dog mom to Penny, supporting and lifting up everyone around her. She absolutely deserves recognition for being a hero!”
